Born on August 28, 1928, in Worcestershire, Massachusetts, her life was marked by a deep commitment to family, education, and her faith. She was a beloved figure in the community, remembered for her contributions both as a teacher and an active member of her church.
Arline was the daughter of William Henry and Lucretia Mae (Cook) Davis and grew up alongside her identical twin sister, Corinne. The family, guided by her father’s career in the Navy, moved frequently to various locations, including Bainbridge Island, Washington, and overseas, before settling in Maryland. It was there that Arline met her husband, Albert Joseph Zyvoloski. The couple married on December 27, 1947, and relocated to Southern California in 1956, where they raised six children together.
After earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from San Bernardino State, Arline devoted many years to teaching preschool, shaping the lives of countless young students. She became a member of the St. Peter and St. Paul Catholic Church in Rancho Cucamonga shortly after its establishment in 1967 and remained actively involved in the church community.
Throughout her life, Arline enjoyed various activities, such as playing bridge, reading, and cherishing family gatherings. She was predeceased by her husband Albert and her daughter Corinne Ann Williams. Arline is survived by five children: Charles Albert Zyvoloski of San Clemente, California; George Anthony Zyvoloski of Beaufort, South Carolina; Teresa Marie Thomas of Pikesville, Maryland; Joan Mae Varbel of Rancho Cucamonga; and Mary Elizabeth Thompson of Dewey Humboldt, Arizona. Additionally, her legacy includes many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will continue to honor her memory.
In celebration of her life, a rosary will be held at 10:30 am on May 30, 2025, at St. Peter and St. Paul Catholic Church in Rancho Cucamonga, followed by a Mass at 11:00 am. The burial will take place at Bellevue Cemetery in Ontario, California, where family and friends will gather to pay their respects.
Arline Zyvoloski’s life was a testament to the values of education, family, and community service. As she is remembered by those who knew her, her impact on the community will surely endure through the generations she influenced.
