The first session of the Rising Star program commenced on June 9 and concluded on June 20, during which participating students accumulated a total of 60 volunteer hours. Throughout the program, volunteers received valuable training, including certifications in Basic Life Support and Stop the Bleed, which are crucial skills in emergency situations.

Following the success of the initial cohort, the program welcomed its second wave of students from July 7 to July 18. Participants explored five distinct career clusters at Beaufort Memorial: Hospitality, Business, Support Services, Diagnostics/Therapeutics, and Direct Patient Care. This exposure aimed to give students a comprehensive understanding of various roles in the healthcare field.
