As the eldest of two siblings, she shared her childhood with her younger sister, Lyndee Hanchett, while growing up surrounded by numerous cousins in Michigan and Indiana.
Christi graduated from Beaufort High School in 1988, after having spent three formative years in Stuttgart, Germany due to her father’s military service. This time abroad ignited her passion for travel and nurtured her love for skiing, an activity that became a favorite pastime.
