The Lady’s Island Business & Professional Association Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 8 a.m. This event will be held at the Beaufort Realtors’ Association Headquarters located at 22 Kemmerlin Lane on Lady’s Island. Matt D’Angelo from Shelter Box will be the featured speaker, and the community is invited to enjoy coffee and engage in conversation.
Poll Worker Training Classes are also set to take place for those interested in serving during upcoming elections. Conducted by the Board of Voter Registration and Elections of Beaufort County, these classes will be held at the main office at 15 John Galt Road, Beaufort from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on several dates: Wednesday, July 16; Saturday, July 26; Wednesday, August 20; and Wednesday, September 17. Interested individuals can sign up online at the Beaufort County Elections website.
Additionally, the United Way of the Lowcountry is offering Free Tax Prep Days specifically for qualifying residents of Beaufort and Jasper counties through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. In Bluffton, free tax preparation will occur on Mondays, July 28, and September 29, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bluffton Public Library, situated at 120 Palmetto Drive. Meanwhile, Beaufort residents can access services on Monday, August 25, at the United Way of the Lowcountry Beaufort Office, located at 1277 Ribaut Road, also from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Prospective participants should note that in-person appointments are required, and spots are limited.
This month, the Beaufort County Human Services is accepting Grant Applications for FY26 aimed at supporting local non-profit organizations involved in human services. Applications will be accepted until Friday, August 22, 2025. Organizations seeking funding can obtain more information online or contact the office by phone for assistance.
