Beaufort, SC – During the Fourth of July holiday week, Beaufort Memorial Hospital made headlines by adding a new nurse practitioner to its team and welcoming four newborns into the community.

The new nurse practitioner, Aron Love, MSN, FNP-C, has joined the Beaufort Memorial Orthopaedic Specialists. He brings valuable experience as a board-certified family nurse practitioner and is a resident of Bluffton. Love’s extensive medical background includes time spent in athletic training and caring for patients in emergency and urgent care settings.

In his new role, Aron Love will provide care at both orthopedic practice locations in Okatie and Port Royal. He is expected to play a crucial part in pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing orthopedic surgery. His clinical expertise encompasses the treatment of various injuries such as fractures and sprains, as well as conditions including arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome.

Love’s career spans 15 years in emergency medicine, allowing him to develop a strong foundation that will serve him well in a bustling orthopedic practice. His interest in medicine was sparked by a personal sports injury during high school football, leading him to pursue a career in nursing and orthopedics. He emphasizes a patient-centered approach, striving to understand and work collaboratively with his patients when developing treatment plans.

A resident of Bluffton, Aron Love shares his home with his wife, two sons, and their two dogs. Alongside him at the Beaufort Memorial Orthopaedic Specialists are board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons Dr. Cory Messerschmidt and Dr. Vandit Sardana. The orthopedic specialists’ facilities are located at 1680 Ribaut Road in Port Royal and 122 Okatie Center Blvd. North, Suite 210 in Okatie, where patients can call (843) 524-3015 to schedule appointments.

In addition to the staff changes, the Beaufort Memorial Collins Birthing Center celebrated the holiday by welcoming four newborns on Independence Day. The newborns include:

  • Melody Flores Varona, weighing 4 lbs, 15 oz, born at 1:18 am to parents Maria Varona Romero and Sebastian Flores Adame.
  • Gianna Garcia Diaz, weighing 5 lbs, born at 10:35 am to parents Nuvia Diaz and Mario Garcia.

In a creative and festive touch, staff member Sabrina Cooler crafted crocheted red, white, and blue ice cream outfits for the newborns to mark the special occasion of Independence Day.

This week has been significant for Beaufort Memorial Hospital, as Aron Love’s expertise and the arrival of these new babies reflect ongoing commitment to community health and wellness. The hospital continues to enhance the quality of care available in the region, fostering a supportive environment for both patients and their families.
