Beaufort authorities have made a second arrest in connection with a shooting that occurred on May 28 at the Garden Oaks Apartments, located at 2000 Salem Road. Cleve Rudolph White, 20, of Hardeeville, now faces multiple serious charges linked to the incident, which left two individuals injured.

White’s charges include possession of a machine gun, possession of a weapon by a prohibited person, attempting to sell a machine gun, and possession with intent to distribute Schedule IV drugs. He was apprehended on Monday and later booked into the Beaufort County Detention Center. A bond of $40,000 has been set for him across all charges.

First Arrest and Charges Against Miller

The first arrest in this case involved Gasnel O’Bryan Miller, a 35-year-old Beaufort resident, who was taken into custody on June 3. Miller has been charged with multiple offenses, including firing a weapon into an occupied vehicle, aggravated breach of peace, pointing and presenting a weapon at a person, firing a weapon within city limits, and possession with intent to distribute Schedule IV drugs. After his arrest, Miller was granted bond and has since been released from the Beaufort County Detention Center.
