The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, and U.S. Coast Guard were among the agencies that responded to the incident. Upon arrival, first responders found that four individuals were on board the boat at the time of the accident. Unfortunately, two of the occupants were pronounced dead at the scene.

The two injured individuals were quickly transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. As of now, details regarding their conditions have not been released. The identities of the deceased have not yet been disclosed by the Beaufort County Coroner’s Office, which is holding off on announcing names until the next of kin have been notified.
