Beaufort is gearing up for the Swing Bridge Run, set to take place on Saturday, November 1st, 2025. This exciting event, organized by the Holy Trinity Classical Christian School in cooperation with the City of Beaufort, promises to bring together community members in support of local nonprofits.
The event will feature a 5K Run and an All Ages Bridge Walk, taking participants through the historic downtown Beaufort. The course is USATF certified, ensuring participants are racing on a reliable and accurate route. Notably, the Swing Bridge Run is the 2nd race of the Beaufort Triple Crown Race Series, which includes:
- Run Forrest Run on October 4th, 2025
- Swing Bridge Run on November 1st, 2025
- Turkey Trot on November 27th, 2025
Participants are encouraged to register for the 2025 Beaufort Triple Crown Bundle, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting local nonprofits including Beaufort Digital Corridor, Holy Trinity Classical Christian School, and Habitat for Humanity of the Lowcountry. However, space is limited—only 125 spots are available for this year’s event, so early registration is advisable. The registration cutoff is set for October 1st, 2025, and online registration will close at midnight on October 29th, 2025.
Participants in the All Ages Bridge Walk will not be timed and will stop at the end of the bridge before Meridian Road. Registered walkers will receive a t-shirt as part of their registration, which must be picked up at packet pickup (noting that walkers will not receive a race bib).
Event Schedule and Details
A Sunrise Prayer Gathering is scheduled for 7:15 AM before the race at Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket. Following this gathering, packet pick-up will occur on Friday, October 31st, from 11 AM – 5 PM at Grounded Running, and the day of the race from 7:00 AM – 7:45 AM at the Start/Finish Line on Bay Street.
The 5K Run will kick off at 8:00 AM sharp, with the All Ages Bridge Walk beginning at 8:20 AM, starting behind the runners. An award ceremony will take place at 8:45 AM, recognizing the top three overall male and female runners, as well as the best finishers across various age groups: 8–12, 13–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70+.
The Swing Bridge Run welcomes runners and walkers of all abilities. However, it’s important to note that virtual 5K participants will not be eligible for trophy awards. Those who complete all three races in the Beaufort Triple Crown will earn a medal charm for each race, culminating in a BTC medal awarded upon successful completion of the final event, with all three charm medals attached.
