Kristin Williams Appointed President of Nemours Wildlife Foundation
Kristin Williams, formerly the executive director of the Open Land Trust in Beaufort, South Carolina, has been appointed as the new president of the Nemours Wildlife Foundation. In her previous role at the Open Land Trust, Williams oversaw the protection of thousands of additional acres across the Southern Lowcountry and expanded conservation efforts across seven counties.
As president, Williams will be responsible for leading the continued expansion of the foundation’s research, education, and stewardship programs. She will also focus on building and strengthening relationships with donors, partners, landowners, and the broader community.
The Nemours Wildlife Foundation operates as a 501(c)(3) non-profit private operating foundation. Its mission is to advance conservation and human well-being within the ACE Basin and beyond through collaborative scientific research, leadership development, management demonstration, and experiential education.
Alex Good, board chair of the Nemours Wildlife Foundation, stated that the foundation plans to utilize modern technologies to understand landscape changes and explore how land use practices can adapt to anticipate future changes.
