BEAUFORT, S.C. — Beaufort County voters can start casting ballots Monday, Oct. 19, and keep using early centers through Halloween week, ending Oct. 31, ahead of the Nov. 3 general election, election staff say.
Beaufort County’s voter board lists four walk-in sites: the John Galt Road registration office in Beaufort, the Bluffton library on Palmetto Way, a Hilton Head USCB classroom on Sand Shark Drive, and the St. Helena library. Doors run 8:30 a.m.–6 p.m. each day Monday–Saturday, and any registered county voter may pick a site.
A current photo ID is required, including a state DMV card or a registration card that carries a photo. Digital sample ballots are posted by the state Election Commission once voters enter their card details.
Local Republicans staged a Friday turnout rally that featured U.S. Sen. Darline Graham pressing early ballots. Democrats say they will hold a similar push on Oct. 25.
