Senator Ossoff calls Trump ‘draft-dodging, crook president’

Senator Ossoff calls Trump ‘draft-dodging, crook president’

US Senator Jon Ossoff, a Democrat from Georgia, recently escalated his public dispute with President Donald Trump, referring to him as a draft-dodging, crook president during a campaign event in Georgia. Senator Ossoff made these remarks while defending Senator Mark Kelly, a former Navy captain, whom he described as embodying American heroism.

Senator Ossoff criticized President Trump’s handling of a war, stating that the president has plunged our nation recklessly into a war he knows not how to end or to win. He further asserted that President Trump tried to imprison this man, referring to Senator Kelly. This comment follows an incident last year where President Trump called for the arrest of Senator Kelly and five other Democratic lawmakers. President Trump accused them of SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH! after they released a social media video indicating that troops are not obligated to follow illegal commands.

During a Sunday campaign appearance in Atlanta, Senator Ossoff also criticized President Trump’s approach to the US-Israel war on Iran. He stated that while sailors fight the war and munitions and oil reserves are depleted, the president sleeps through his meetings, golfs and trades stocks. Senator Ossoff added that President Trump doesn’t want to do the job but instead wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie on their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the amir of Qatar. This appears to be a reference to Natalie Harp, President Trump’s executive assistant, who has drawn attention for her close association with the president.

The White House responded to Senator Ossoff’s comments on Monday. President Trump called Senator Ossoff Pee-wee Herman, and the White House communications director, Steven Cheung, described Senator Ossoff on social media as a radical, extremist Dumocrat. Senator Ossoff is currently seeking re-election to his Senate seat in Georgia and is widely considered a potential presidential candidate for 2028.
