Anderson Area Touchdown Club Launches 46th Football Season

The Anderson Area Touchdown Club officially began its 46th season on Friday, August 22, with an event at the Anderson Institute of Technology. The kickoff featured head coaches from Anderson County high school football teams, who provided overviews of their respective teams and discussed expectations for the upcoming season.

The club was established to recognize the achievements of all eight high schools in Anderson County, celebrating the players and coaches who contribute to the sport’s local importance. Throughout the football season, the club honors a player and a coach of the week.

Lunch is provided at each Friday meeting by Sundays, located across the street from the Institute of Technology.
