BEAUFORT, S.C. — The Beaufort History Museum is throwing its first Halloween party, a costumed fundraiser set for Friday, Oct. 30, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. inside the historic Arsenal in Beaufort.
Tickets cost $50 each and cover barbecue and drinks. Guests are urged to come in costume, and prizes will go to the best pair, the most creative look and the scariest outfit of the night.
Money raised goes to the museum and its work telling more than five centuries of Beaufort history to locals and visitors.
The nonprofit museum makes its home in the Arsenal at 713 Craven Street downtown, where it cares for art and artifacts owned by the City of Beaufort. Its regular hours run Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and staff suggest calling ahead to confirm.
